The day after Zion, we stopped by Red Cliffs & Kolob Canyon on the long drive home. I didn't love all the crowds in Zion, so I was hoping Red Cliffs would be a little more empty so we could really get lost in the environment.
Three weeks ago we ventured down to Southern Utah again for a little extended weekend, this time to visit Zion! We snuck a trip to the St. George Temple in there too, so I could knock something else off my 30 before 30 list!
Zach & I ventured out to Mellow Mushroom for a recent food adventure date night last Friday.
Mellow Mushroom isn't TECHNICALLY a local joint, but there's only one location in Utah, so I don't count it as a typical "chain" restaurant. Plus it's in Sugarhouse and I always love any excuse to go there (minus the parking - Sugarhouse parking is always a nightmare!)
While we were in the celestial room of the St. George Temple last weekend, Zach had a prompting to go to the connected sealing room. He didn't know why, but he felt it strongly. So we went!
Since we're living in a new state, we have been on the prowl for good food in Salt Lake City, especially Mexican. We've committed to spending at least one night a week on a "date" (although isn't every night "date night" when you're married without kids or major obligations??), and that we would spend our "dates" trying out new restaurants in Salt Lake City instead of ending up at the same 3-5 places (my love for In-N-Out is strong you guys).
