Telling My Husband I'm Pregnant!
May 23, 2019Telling your dad that you existed has been one of the best days of my life. He has wanted you & dreamt of being your dad since he was a kid. I want you to know how lucky & blessed you are to have him as your father. He is kind, patient, forgiving and protective. You are literally his dream come true and I hope you know how deeply he loved you from the first moment.✨
Telling Zach was one of the highlights of my life - definitely my favorite surprise I’ve ever planned for someone! I knew how happy & shocked he was going to be and couldn’t wait to tell him his dream had come true!
Some backstory: I waited 10 days to tell Zach I was pregnant. 10 agonizingly long days! It was the hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep, especially from the guy I spend 1000% of my time with! I waited so long bc I wanted to make sure the pregnancy was viable - I had lots of blood tests & a very early ultrasound done to make sure everything was growing & not ectopic. I only had one chance to tell Zach he was going to be a dad for the 1st time and I wanted to be as sure as possible!
It’s hard to see in the video, but I gave Zach a layered box to share the news. The first layer was a letter all about our infertility journey & how they said it wasn’t possible. The next layer said “But Dad, anything is possible” with the pregnancy test & due date. The final layer was a note from the baby saying they’d try to avoid being born during a Duck football game & 2 little onesies to wear when they do get here!
I have a lot of friends still praying, sacrificing and fighting tooth & nail to build their families. I hope you can find hope in our story and know that God can truly do the impossible and no matter how the babies come to us (IVF, IUI, adoption, fostering, naturally, etc) - it is ALWAYS a miracle. It’s my constant hope that everyone who wants it can have this moment of complete joy when their prayers are answered.❤️❤️❤️
