A little note from Instagram tonight:

Until recently, I had NO idea how many things could go wrong and how many things have to go right in order to conceive.

So I started joking to people “it’s a miracle anyone has a baby!” and I said it enough until it really SUNK in. It really IS a miracle how our physical bodies are created and how our spirits unite with them. How perfectly timed everything needs to be and how there are so many factors that could get in the way. The odds of being born are astronomical (go google it bc the number is nuts and way too long for me to type!).

It’s easy to sit and assign labels to ourselves and others, good or bad - smart, dumb, tall, short, skinny, fat, etc. But I hope that next time you look in the mirror, you can push past all of those labels, look yourself in the eye, say “I am a miracle,” and truly believe it.

Just by being here, you beat the odds. Your life has a purpose, even if you can’t see it right now. And everyone around you - they’re miracles too. Whether it’s your kids or siblings or parents or friends or that really annoying guy at church.

I’ve lived most of my life feeling like human garbage and wishing I was never born at all. I would hate for anyone else to waste another minute feeling the same way. We have incredible potential and the world needs us down here. ❤️
